On October 3, 2026, the Association held its Annual General Meeting, which included the President’s report for the past year, delivered by Prof. Olga Vorobyova, as well as the report of the audit commission. A central point of discussion was preparation for the 5th International UACLiP Conference, “The Evolution of Philological Studies: Gains of the Past, Modernity, Glimpses of the Future,” scheduled for May 20–22, 2027.

The conference will be preceded by a Summer School for postgraduate students and young scholars, focusing on stylistics, rhetoric, and intermedial studies. The invited lecturers are world‑renowned scholars: Prof. Michael Toolan, Prof. Michael Burke, and Prof. Elżbieta Chrzanowska‑Kluczewska. Within the conference programme, a Round Table on experiential translation will be held (moderated by Dr. Madeleine Campbell), and a special event, “Ukrainian Linguistics: Memorial Section,” will be organised to honour our teachers and mentors – outstanding national scholars who laid the foundations of modern philological studies.
